A sweet Craft Bakers Association 127th annual conference
Do you know what happened Saturday 24 May?
Oui, Timothy Spall won best actor at the Closing Ceremony of the Festival de Cannes, but it wasn’t the most exciting event on that day. The Craft Bakers Association 127th Conference, which took place at Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London, was!
On Friday 23 May and Saturday 24 May, a large number of craft bakers from all over the UK attended the Conference, which included speeches by renowned spokespeople from across the industry on various topics.
The conference also saw the nomination of the new president of the CBA. The honour went to David Smart, to whom we wish an excellent mandate.
Even more excitingly, French Glacé Cherries took part, sampling 100% natural French glacé cherries from Provence and a series of recipes for craft bakers to explore and enjoy.
Master Baker Anthony Kindred, creator of over a dozen innovative French Glacé Cherries recipes baked for the occasion delicious florentines, macaroons and cookies for the day, giving the mouth-watering audience a chance to discover just how versatile our lovely candied cherries are. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can find all the recipes on our recipe page.
Many thanks to The Craft Bakers Association welcoming us, and to Anthony who once again delighted everyone with his talented baking.
